How to Clean your dirty AC Outdoor Unit
If one is pulling cooler air from the basement upward there's no need to worry about the humidity that comes with it. That air begins the evaporation process the instant it hit the blowing air. I'm not even a plumber. I'm a brain surgeon... Just kidding. This is a very good video.
Does it use much energy if you are just using the fan all time with out heating/cooling ? It gets pretty cold at night by the river where i live and i open windows during the night and close them in the morning. Then i just use the FAN ON without AC in the summer.
What about the humidity?
Why design things colder than 68 if it's not supposed to LMAO. Also Celsius is stupid
What wiring needs to be done?
How does the fan turn on automatically? I am sick and I want to have my room cold so I want to open my window but don’t want to cost my mom money. Does the intake suck the cold air and let’s the heating and cooling know it needs to be turned on? Or should I just close all my vents?
If you were to weld a cracked heat exchanger I suppose it would just crack again?
It'll crack on the weld.
mine flashes H6 an O2 when running it flashes back an forth for 2 years but it's been running good but I think that O2 could bite me in the butt in the future 🤔
I never liked furnaces with a secondary heat exchanger I was a Trane dealer and I loved the high efficiency one pipe exhaust system basically the most efficient with out a secondary heat exchanger way less problems and cheaper
Does using the fan mode increases much the energy consumption?
its metal. you cant heat and cool it 20,000 times and not expect a result. not every failure can be tracked down to poor maintenance and design.
all whisper heats fail. that is a design issue. all pulse fail, that is a material issue. yours could have failed due to neither of these reasons. just my 2 cents.
also those old bryant 90s had an issue with the factory coating on the secondary delaminating. this is a serious fire hazard as i have seen it burn a house down and nearly burn down several others. changing your filter wont help that.
Are a lot of Installers thinking about their previous Installs?
How to reset error code d0 showing on the led screen?
😅will not purchase Carrier or Goodman!
So what is the bottom line, Auto always or on always?
Is there a decent thermostat I can get with a setting for the fan only to be thermostat controlled? If so, what do you recommend?
Sensi thermostat I have one
@@jgbadblood414 thank you
When my heating is on and I turn on fan, the air is cold! Why?
When my heating is on and I turn on fan, the air is cold! Why?
In your example does elements go on 1,4then they go off and 2,5 on then off when that goes off 3,6 come on? If that happened then the furnace would have on two (e.g. 5kw elements on a any time and hardly it’s max btu. A second possibility is that 1,4 come on (remember 2 sequencers linked) then 2,5 are added if the house is cold then 3,6 are added if the house is still cold. In effect, the last point is all 6 elements on and all (e.g. 90,000 btu) being used at one time? Not sure why sequencers have on and off times on top of that. I am confused 😊
Here's the elephant in the room: if you have a 2000 square feet house and plan on adding a small addition bringing it up to 2600-2800 square feet, does buying a larger 3 ton compressor until the addition have any down sides to it?
This is a hard no.
Thank you very much you explained that very well. I will now switch mine to fan.,
Thanks
Thank you for the tips. I have turned my machine off, and I will go to sleep, and hopefully it will have all melted by tomorrow morning. I am one of those people that like to live in a freezer, therefore, I usually have my unit running at 16°. I guess I know now to keep it at 20°. Hopefully that’s the only issue, and that it’s not an issue with the Freon that you mentioned, in which I would need to call a professional to come help me out with that matter. I appreciate the clear, concise, straight to the point video that you have provided, and I will provide feedback as to whether or not, it was a success for me. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Very helpful information. I was going crazy thinking it was broke because it ran constantly.
Genius
I loved it. Exact info I was looking for. Thanks
Hi pls can you help me I have carrier noes 100 The machine does not cool down, and after it rotates for about half an hour, it turns off by itself, and this process is repeated until I turn it off, and yet it starts spraying water inside the cabin from the cooling fans. The gas compressor is present and the sprayer is new, including the soap dispenser.... What can I do in your opinion?
It is normal to have water dripping onto your filter? Brand new unit or 6 months old, they blew out the condensation line, what could it be and should I worry? They told me some water is normal but I feel like I might have mold if it continues. Thanks for any ideas.
Take a shot every time he says “uhh”
Hey big guy, the levels of a building are spelled "story". Spelling champ here...😊😊
what is error code 79 on a trane unit?
Get q microphone its 30€
What's the point of making a video with ton of explanations that no one can hear you , GENIUS!
TALK ABOUT misinformation.... None of this is useable without a proper MANUAL j CALCULATION ETC With many variables.
Which on consumes less electricity?
goog knowledge
Thanks for the video and tutorial. I cleaned my unit like the Pro you are!
Thanks for the tips. I was having a lot of issues with my old coil freezing. Turns out I had some airflow issues. One of the returns was blocked during previous renovation work.. My fan speed was set to low. The old A/C unit blows ice cold after fixing these issues.. I have a feeling coughing up cash for a new one would have run into the same issues soon enough.
such a cute man wow
He's an AC tech, not a supermodel!!😊
Thank you
This guys a hvac tech my 5 year old kid could tell people about a red light on a board ! what a joke
I have a study red blinking light. Can you help me tell me what that mean?
Good information!
You are not converting the water heater, you are converting the home.
Such a shame they design this junk to just barely be good enough verses just making a heat exchanger that doesn't crack. They do this under the perception that this is a very hard thing to achieve when its not even close to that.
"... verses just making a heat exchanger that doesn't crack." If you do not properly maintain your furnace (e.g., cleaning burner tubes, changing the furnace filter regularly, etc.), the HX will eventually develop cracks. You can't get around poor/no PM.
@@bobbybarnes1652 True but assuming the maintenance is performed then this should never be a problem but someone decided the world would be better off with a marketing department that sits right next to the engineering department having them design junk so they don't have to work hard selling new furnaces.
@@petebusch9069 I've worked in automobile manufacturing (HVAC supplier) for 35+ years. We don't design things to fail so that we can sell you a new one. When your products have poor designs, words gets around and folks stop buying your products. That results in fewer sales, not more.
@@bobbybarnes1652 That used to be the case but now that everyone is programmed to accept junk because there is no alternative resulting in everything built as cheaply as possible but will last around as long as the competition. Its all the same junk and anyone not living under a rock knows that. Prove me wrong, build a forced air furnace that will actually last 50 years so I can avoid the install cost every 10 years. I would also like it to be serviceable including a simple way to pop in a new heat exchanger and parts that don't become obsolete in 5 years. As a consumer I'm tired of having to constantly buy new verses servicing a quality product.
I was just thinking about putting a little door on all 4 sides of the heat box then you can check ✔️ the heat exchanger very easy why didn't anyone else think of this🤔🤔
Manufacturing costs.
My 18 year old Lennox Gas Furnace functioning perfectly except that the "Fan On" option is not working. Can you please advise about what repair is required?
Do you have multiple zones?
Pretty much I’ve been boiled down to this. Been dealing with a low pressure open error code. Did everything to correct it. Now leaning on a cracked secondary possibly on a Lennox Elite . Lennox has a lifetime warranty on their heat exchangers that I found out. Poor install on the slope possibly
Short cycling kills heat exchangers. They flex every time the furnace cycles. Most of these small cracks cannot be discovered unless the heat exchanger is removed, like in your example.
